Tess was born in July 1998. She is my sweet baby. She started to herd at 14 weeks and became a very confident dog. She was the most scared puppy we had ever seen. She would run and hide and pee and be afraid of everything. But herding got her confidence up so that now she thinks she owns the *WORLD*
She was not registered but she earned her ABCA papers via the ROM program. In her Novice yr, she placed in the top 30% of her class and won her last Novice trial under Bill Berhow.  She went to Scott Glen who ran her in 2001 Nursery for me to qualify her and help me get her ROM.  She adored Scott and got to ride *shotgun* in his truck.
She did well in the Seculsival Nursery trial. As well as the Ky Bluegrass Nursery. She got the ProNovice Dog of the Year in Alberta. Scott ran her in the 2001 USBCHA Nursery Finals. She placed 6th and gave him her all. The sheep were wild and running but she hung in there and gave Scott her heart on the runs. She never gives up and tries her best.

2002: Tess had eight pups.  Tess's son , DeltaBluez Roo, qualified and ran in the USBCHA Cowdog Nursery Finals and then I got him to train for field trials. I trained him and he qualified for the USBCHA National Nursery Sheepdog Finals. Quite a feat. Not many pups can qualify to run in both venues. We didn't go due to work/family issues.

2004: Scott Glen has taken her on his tour as an Open dog. She placed 34th overall in Ky Bluegrass out of 145 dogs. She got 3rd one day in Seclusival. In June, Tess came home and headed off to the USBCHA National Sheepdog Finals in September. We placed 86th overall in the Nation. We had the fastest time going into the shedding ring.  Tess was a powerhouse

2005: Tess had her second litter of pups. I kept  one female pup, Jackie.   She ran at the 2007 USBCHA Sheepdog Nursery and placed 20th overall with Scott Glen.

2006:  Tess had mammary cancer and as a result did not run most of the summer. That would explain why before her surgery she was lethargic. It took her months to recover but she is fine now.

2007: We just ran in a couple of trials. Tess got 2nd out of 22 dogs in Oct. In Nov, she got 4th out of 21 dogs. She is listening quite well and we are having a good time.  She is 8.5 years old and I am not sure how much longer she will be running but as long as she is in good health and enjoying it, we will run. She had her last litters of pup in November. Del'Mar Scott was the sire and we kept two pups. (Rainey and Anson)

2008: This year  was great...we have been rocking. Tess placed 4th at Kearney Creek, 5th at Fraser Valley, placed FIRST at Roy and just doing great. She had enough points for the the Finals but we decided to stay home due to the distance. Tess is being retired now.
