Scott came from Chris and Terri Hanson. He worked on the Coldstream Cattle ranch which is the 2nd largest cattle ranch in Canada. He worked there most of his life. The ranch has about 5000 cows and 200,000 plus acres. He was the main dog for years. I first saw Scott about a few years ago (July 2003) at a trial and tried to buy him. It took me over three years to get him. Chris retired him at 6.5 yrs so he could enjoy the rest of his life with me.
We have run in sheepdog and cow dog trials. In Cow Dog Rancher class, he won Reserve. On sheep, when he ran in ProNovice he placed first or usually the top 20. I just moved him up to Open in fall 2006.
He is very kind to his stock and rates stock well. He is fearless since he worked on a ranch for years. I own his half brother Kane and just recently sold his other half brother Mick. I really like the breeding. He was very much loved by Chris and Terri and I was blessed to acquire Scott
Scott just won his first Open sheepdog trial. Dec 16th, 2006 at Lakebay, WA.
Scott has been running very well in sheepdog trials. He also run in ASCA and usually wins in all classes. Scott is now retired from Open sheepdog trials. He placed 6th in the Bonina Open cow dog trial in May 2007.
Scott is a tremendous dog and now enjoys his retired life.
