Lucy is a granddaughter of (Tess x Pleat) and (Ryan x Libbi).
Pleat is owned by Scott Glen. Ryan is owned by Martha McHardy. Libbi was owned by me and was my Open dog and she works the cut blocks in Canada. Her mother is DeltaBluez Koko who is owned by Rochelle Stanford. Koko is a sucessful Open trial dog.
Lucy was born in August 2004. She was loved and raised by Christine and Dick Reed of Texas. She is very willing and sweet and a hard worker.
Lucy ran in an ASCA trial on sheep, ducks and cows. The cows have never been worked by a dog. Lucy did great grips and had good cow sense and got first in her class and High Promising Other Breed.
She ran in the USBCHA Nursery trials for the 2007 year. She did quite well in Nursery, four 2nd places and one FIRST Place. She ran in ProNovice and at her last trial in 2007 she won the PN class.
Lucy spent last winter working at a large commercial sheep operation in Eastern Oregon. She worked 1000-3000 ewes/lambs and rams and has did well. She has gotten a lot tougher about pushing sheep and this practical experience will help round her out.
Lucy came back in spring of 2008 and then ran in a Sheepdog trial and got 3rd in ProNovice. She will be moving up to Open soon.
