DeltaBluez believes is raising the true working Border Collies. Our foundation stock is from some of the finest breeding in North America as well as from the U.K. We use our Border Collies on the farm and on the sheep and cattle trial circuit. In addition, they have their eyes and hip/elbows tested. They must prove their working ability and have excellent temperaments. Some of our dogs come from working cattle or sheep ranches.
My philosophy in breeding is that the dog must prove themselves on the trial circuit (placing high or winning in Open) on sheep and/or cows or as working daily on a ranch operation (meaning a ranch and not a hobby farm with five sheep). So do your homework and ask to see the parents work on stock, verify the health checks have been done (eyes and hips) and see if they are of an quality caliber.
Diane raises and train and competes with her Border Collies in ISDS Border Collie trials as well as ASCA and AHBA trials. Private lessons are available during weekend days and one day during the weekend. Her students have Border Collies, Aussie and Kelpies and they compete in USBCHA, ASCA and AHBA trials. We offer a 60 ft round pen, several smaller fields and one 25 plus acre field. We have over 65 sheep so there is fresh sheep all the time. You can work the large mob or as little as three. We also have cows, ducks and geese to work.
Occasionally we have dogs for sale. Please send us an e-mail and we can let you know what is available. We match the dog to the person to ensure it is a good fit. In the arena trials they have won many trials and received many High in Trial on sheep, cows and ducks.
We also sell sheep. We have Clun Forest and Katahdins. We have locker lambs available and also have training sheep.
